How to eat more fruit and veggies?

Here comes an amazing Life Pro Tip from Redditor livebythem. basically this is the way it works. if you need to snack more on veggies and fruits - cut them up beforehand and store them in some Tupperware. This way whenever you need to snack on something - open your container and start snacking on fruits and veggies. This is very helpful for most people since we eat more out of boredom rather that hunger. The key OP says is that they need to be sealed in leak-proof Tupperware and then even apples will stay fresh for a week. Cutting up Apples and other fruit beforehand and storing them in leak-proof containers should do the trick.

how to eat more fruits and veggiesWhen sitting in front of the TV, most of us reach out to munch on junk food and something that is oily and unhealthy. If you have your fruits already cut and ready to be eaten. Just open your container and mindlessly chomp on fruits and vegetables. Other Redditors also suggest using zip-lock bags. Do this after squeezing as much air out as possible - helps fruits and veggies stay fresh for longer. You can read more at the discussion going on, on Reddit here. Super tip to eat healthy - when going out just throw a container in your bag and when you need to eat, your fruits and veggies are ready. Image Credit: Redditor Livebythem.

How to record a concert on your Phone with good sound quality

We have all seen those videos of concerts that have horrible sound quality. Knowing that videos recorded at concerts using your iPhone, Android phone or Windows Phone comes with bad sound quality, we still like to watch them. Since some of us might have missed the concert. This is a common recurrence and a problem. Concerts are usually loud and with good reason too. Organizers need to be sure that everyone attending can hear the sound properly and with the way sound travels. It is imperative to make sure that sound is loud to enable it to reach everyone.

How to record a concert on your phone with good sound qualityThis creates a problem for people standing, raising their hands and clutching their small phones, which usually come with small microphones. Reddit user SK1990 has come up with a simple and smart solution -- while recording your video, cover the microphone with your hand. This way not all the blaring sound gets in but part of the audio. The end result is that when you playback your video later it has clearer sound with better recorded music. The reason could be because of the small microphones -- which get overloaded with sound. These microphones are not able to handle the loud blaring sound and if only part of it gets through -- you get a video with reasonably good quality sound. This solution will help you better record music at a live concert. So when you do get a chance to test this out. Please leave a comment with what you think and did it actually work.

How to find a good job after being fired

Jobs are hard to come by and loosing a job can be pretty heartbreaking. There is however no point in sitting and feeling discouraged - there are things you can do about it. There have been many people who have lost their job but found a totally different career path in a different field. You can think of changing industries, redoing your résumé and a whole lot of other activities. One of the best suggestions I have come across and I have personally been helped by is this. Start developing your other latent talents that might have been lying around. Employers are always on the look out for multi-talented people. We are aware that you need to find a job that is your passion and something that you have been dreaming of. Things might not always work out like that. Sometimes your other talents and skills might actually land you the job of a lifetime, and if not at least a job to carry on with.

what to do after you loose you jobWhere to start looking?

You might want to start with your hobbies and talents. There may be something you have a great deal of interest in, but never dedicated any time to follow-up with it. ow is the time to start developing your other varied talents. The inspiration needs to come from you and no matter what it is, it just might be the answer. Tough times call for improvisations and your interest just might land you, your next job. Let's just say that you know an awful lot about cars, you could try your hand at being a car salesman.

Why would companies hire people with multiple people

If you have more than one skill than you can put on your résumé -- it would mean you can do the job of more than one person and pitch in. It would mean that in discussions you opinion would matter as you know a lot more than just your own job. It would mean the company has someone with firsthand knowledge and experience.

Anything else to be done while waiting for a job?

Yes, grown your network, work on your résumé and wait patiently. Don't give up on your skills and keep working at it. This will also help you answer the question about time. So what have you been doing since you got laid off?. Will also make your résumé look better and prove to prospective employers that the person being hired is someone who knows how to make good use of time.

Always keep some cash for emergencies

Hurricane Sandy proved without a doubt that cash is still king in an emergency situation. When the power is out it would mean water supply is hit, the fridge stops functioning, no TV and most of All -- no ATMs. No ATMs means you have no access to all your money. What use would it be in an emergency if the power is out and the ATM's are down and you have no access to your money. Emergency situations always prove to us that cash is till king. Cold hard notes that you can feel in your hands is the only thing that will do the talking and help you get around.

[caption id="attachment_3112" align="aligncenter" width="300"]US Dollar notes Image Credit - Wikipedia[/caption]

It is a simply idea but would prove most valuable in an emergency -- keep some money in your home. Hide it up as best you can and don't forget where you hit it. So if there is an emergency you can always scurry to your hiding place and find your cash. There are many ways to hide you money around your home and the internet will give you some nice helpful tips and tricks on how to do so. IN an emergency when there is all to fight for and everyone is in the same fix, you cannot expect to get a payday loan. As no one has the luxury to lend, it is best to be prepared.

Google Maps: Find Out Your Trip Duration Based On Current Traffic updates

Google Maps on your Android phone just got better. Google has now factored in live data to help yo better plan your trip. So if your planing to go to the airport and need to know which mode of transport to you. Check Google maps for a more detailed live traffic analysis to decide how to travel. Google maps will help you estimate the length of time of your journey and wherever information the new live traffic feature will analyze current traffic conditions and estimate the length of time of your journey. So once you know how long your drive is going to take you can then decide which mode of transport to use. A good example would be that based on estimated travel time you can decide whether to take the train or the taxi to the airport.

With up-to-data traffic reporting which keeps on getting refreshed you can also plot several courses to reach your destination. As you are driving you can also be alerted about traffic jams up ahead and quickly change your route to arrive on time. Current traffic data is available only in a few places and more destinations will be added soon. For now it is only in large metropolitan areas in the US. So the next time you want to compare driving time vs transit time Google maps can help you decide. Which will it be public transit or you driving.

Use Bounce to help you never be late again for a meeting or appointment

This little Android App will help you be on time. Whether it is for an official meeting or an appointment with your doctor. The app does a whole lot of calculations and then lets you know when it's time for you to leave and begin your journey so that you show up on time and stick to all your meeting deadlines. Important for people who just seem to find it so difficult to make it on time for a meeting. This is an Android App with an iPhone app in the works.

Bouce: How does it work
Once the app is installed on your phone it will integrate with all your appointments like Google Calendar, Microsoft Exchange etc. It will then run in the background and will use your GPS, Calendar and Traffic Data to calculate how long before you need to set out on your journey. The App takes a lot into consideration and calculates the time taken to travel factoring in the traffic situation and provides a reminder up to 60 minutes before you need to leave. There is also a configurable option to factor in things like finding parking or waiting for the kids etc. So if you find yourself as a person who seems to run a little late to meetings then this app might be a great way to remind yourself about where you need to be and get up and start heading out.

How to use Daily Deal sites to save money and find places to visit when on Vacation

Crazeal is Groupon in India

The credit to this very original idea goes to Reddit user heycheero and the idea goes like this. Once you have decided on your travel, chosen your destination and started booking your flight tickets. Go to your favorite daily deals sites like Groupon or  Living Social and each of these sites have a presence Globally. Change your city to the city you are going to visit and then start getting deals from that city. This way you get great restaurant deals, massage deals, travel deals with places to visit. This way you get to also save on time spent researching places to visit as daily deal sites usually send you excellent deals of places to visit.

This is definitely not going to bring your bill drastically down but it will give you a fair idea on how much things cost in that city and where to eat and beast places to hang-out. If you are going to a country are you are unable to find your favorite daily deals site there. You can always use Google to get a list of local daily deal and coupon sites that operate there and sign-up. The idea is to make this work for you and save loads on attractions and outings.
