The pic above is the the new artwork for Madonna's new album 'Rebel Heart'. What better way to gain attention than by creating a little controversy. So this is what the queen of pop did. She launched a campaign on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #RebelHeart. She started to photoshop her cover artwork onto famous personalities and took it a bit too far when using images of Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and also people like Bob Marley. There is also a pic of 'Christ the redeemer' from Brazil. Onto which she photo shopped her artwork. Calling all of them Rebels -- which is true to a large extent. All of them wanted to beat the system and bring about a change. It cost them dear and took a lot of pain and sacrifice. Almost always was a lifetime's worth of work. Facebook has now got what Twitter made popular - Hashtags. With hashtags users can click on them and follow topics as it's happening in real-time. YouTube have announced that Channel One -  their new layout and design that has been tested by more than 100 million channels. Facebook did make their announcement that the site now has over 1 Billion users. Not so says couple of reports on the net. Quartz reports that more than 10% of all Facebook uses are dogs, cats and toasters. A whole lot of non-humans now have a Facebook profile. These may not be Facebook fan pages but actual profiles. Well, this is not something the internet thought they'd hear. Microsoft integrates a Google service right within their email service, and also on their Cloud based storage service - SkyDrive . In this surprise move, Microsoft says that this has been a popular requested feature from its users. You might remember that a while back Microsoft converted all Hotmail accounts into Outlook and all email is now handled only on Outlook. Outlook is quite amazing with a whole new interface and all. Bing has something new which has come with this Facebook integration - Bing Tags. Once you login to Bing with your Facebook account and do a self-search. That is earch for your name on Bing. You get your Facebook profile and the ability to tag other pages with your name. You can also tag yourself with other people on Bing. Bing have made a huge announcement, when searching using Bing. You can now see relevant results from your Facebook friends. This is something called social sidebar. This was first launched just over a year ago and is now going pretty strong. So now when you search on Bing you can get results that match your search query from your friends. So if your looking to go to an upcoming concert in your area. You can now see if your friends have posted anything about the concert. This way you can like their status and also send them a message. YouTube that has been free for more than a decade - have now launched a bomb, YouTube to start charging for some channels. Premium quality content channels like The onion and WWE will be able to start charging for subscriptions. YouTube's parent company Google, have been toying with this idea for a long time and now it's all set to launch. This should happen as early as this week. The way it works is that premium channel partners like The Onion and WWE can add a subscription button for users to be able to view their channels. Subscriptions can start from as low as $1.99 a month and there are 50 channels that are ready to take the dive. The channels themselves might actually welcome this new revenue stream, which gives them a chance to generate additional revenue for their efforts.
