Sarychev Volcano eruption viewed from space [Gif + Video]

This GIF is from a video released by NASA of the Sarychev volcano, northeast of Japan, during its early stages of eruption.  You can watch as the plume of smoke and ash rises and you can only imagine the shock-wave it would have generated. Please click on images to expand. The lava flow from Kilauea volcano is flowing and bearing down on residents homes. Forcing people to flee. Looters on the other hand have started to hit evacuated towns and fleece residences. The lave has entered Pahoa village, a main town in the rural Puna district. The eruption began on June 27th with the front continuing to remain active as it bears down on homes. [Images source here and here]
