Create a Screencast online

There are many screen recording software programs that you can download to your system to make a video by recording stuff that is going on, on your PC screen. If however you do not want the hassel of downloading programs and paying for it but want something that is fast and easy and does not require registration then this post is for you. Many internet uses would like to create simple screencasts that can be shared easily on video sites like YouTube. Maybe even create a small screencast as a school project or something to be sown to friends. There are a number of free screencast web apps that are internet based that allow you to record your video and broadcast to YouTube or Facebook directly. Another advantage with a free web app like this is that it would usually be written in Java and will be able to support all browsers and platforms.

1. Screencast-o-matic: This is a free app that lets you start your recording as soon as you press the 'Start Recording' button. Once you're done recoding you can immideately export your video to sites like YouTube or save it to your desktop. If you are using the free version of the app, there will be a large screen-o-matic logo at the bottom left-hand corner of your screen. It records in standard formats like 640x480, 800x600, etc.
