What is Retweeting and how to Retweet on Twitter

Retweeting is an integral and important of the whole Twitter experience. So when people share a little something using the 140 character limit, it is know as a Tweet. Maybe because it is so sweet and short. Not necessarily sweet, but short. So anyway users can Retweet messages they like either tweeted by their friends or total strangers. You can Retweet any Tweet you see on Twitter. This is known as Retweeting the act of sharing another person's Tweet with your followers and your friends. Retweeting is abbreviated to "RT"

How To Retweet.

In the early days there was this set of steps you needed to follow to get it right. Now all you need to do is

1. Hover your mouse cursor just below the Tweet you want to Retweet. (Bottom right hand corner)
2. A "Retweet" Button appears. Click it.
3. A pop-up appears "Retweet to your followers", click yes to finish the action, click the X mark to cancel.

Why do people Retweet instead of just copying and pasting.

When you Retweet someone's Tweet, your giving that person full credibility and acknowledge his or her ownership of the material you just tweeted. When you retweet the person's tweet gets retweeted with the users @Username. This means your followers know who posted that Tweet originally and can also click on the username and visit their personal homepage on Twitter.

There is no plagiarism here and it's a fine way for Twitter users to find other interesting people to follow across Twitter.

If you find something interesting on Twitter and want to share it with your followers Retweeting is the best thing possible.

For Twitter beginners we hope you find this useful and advanced users please share with your friends who have just started out in Twitterverse.
