This having been confirmed by a trusted Verizon employee who has said that the carrier will be having a an all-staff vacation blackout from Sep 21 - 30. Meaning all employees are to be available. TC further makes these bold assumptions that the iPhone 5 Announcement date will be on Sept 21, expected pre-order date also September 21 and the launch date as confirmed by a trusted Verizon Employee will be Friday September 21.
