There's good reason for that with all the HD cameras and tools available these days to produce and edit, everyone can try their hand at it. with social media and sites like YouTube, it does not take a nice video too long to become famous. What video is complete without some effects and nice natural zooming and focusing. with the pico dolly it is really easy to mount your camera or phone for those great angle shots. The Pico Dolly is a small board on skate wheels which can be mounted with three arms. It is small and neat and easy to move around. The wheels can be adjusted to form a circle or a straight line. The video below explains how it works. The whole thing will cost you #65 if you pre-order and shipping starts in two weeks time.

Droid Bionic - Sept 8th

Motorola Driod Bionic - you must be wondering what all the fuss is about, with news-sites and blogs across the internet reporting about the Driod Bionic has a release date of Sept 8 - 2011 and this is not an official confirmation but speculation. Based on many tips dropped around and some leaked fliers.

What is special about the Driod Bionic
The phone is special for Verizon customers because it comes with two mush awaited features. Dual-Core processor and LTE. LTE is Verizon's 4G LTE network and their fastest in the US. LTE has been regularly expanding to newer cities across the US. So once the phone is out the benefits are you get it's dual-core speed with the fastest network available in the US. Gamers will be only too happy.

Droid Bionic also has an App released which encourages participants to go on a scavenger hunt. With the chance of winning the Droid Bionic when it comes out. The scavenger hunt will last for 4 days from the 3rd to the 7th of September. Now that could be a clue for the Sept 8 release.

This could be further proof a leaked flier for a store. The headline also reads "The Wireless Device Group introduces DROID BIONIC by Motorola to the product line-up! This device will launch in all channels September 8th, 2011"

Nokia Launches Cheapest Dual-SIM Phone Ever

It seems all mobile phone manufactures are heading the way of offering cheap phones. We covered Apple' s plan to launch a whole new cheaper iPhone 4 in emerging markets and now Nokia is taking the competition to a whole new level. Inspired by the local markets in Africa and Asia where the need of the hour is not high end Apps but the ability to use dual-sim phones. The reason for this is because alot of people in these countries prefer using prepaid sin cards rather that the postpaid which is costlier and can run into heavy bills. On the other hand a prepaid SIM can be used for as long as you need it and when you find another phone company offering lower tariff plans the old SIM can be ditched for a new one and with number portability you still retain your old number.

Nokia will be launching the 101 and the 100 in Q3 and Q4 of 2012 respectively. The Nokia 101 will cost approx $35 and the 100 will cost approx $29.

Check out the features of the phones below, information provided by ibtimes.com
The 101 features include

 Dual SIM possibility
• Extremely affordable
• 65K 1.8” color screen
• Grid-based menu with easily readable icons
• Supporting FM radio and MP3 player
• Memory card up to 16 GB capacity
• Possibility to have 500 entries in the phone book

In addition, it features an incorporated flashlight, 3.5 mm AV connector, pre-loaded games and also a time tracker. It will have a talk time of 8.5 hours.

It will be available in phantom black and coral red colors. It weighs only 69.6 g including battery.

Nokia 100 features will include

• 65K 1.8” color screen
• Grid-based menu with easily readable icons
• Supporting FM radio
• Possibility to have 500 entries in the phone book
• Memory card up to 16 GB capacity
• Extremely affordable

Unlike 101 it does not offer MP3 support. It will have a talk time of 7.2 hours.

In addition, like the 101, it offers an incorporated flashlight, 3.5 mm AV connector, pre-loaded games and also the time tracker. It weighs the same as the 101 model.

It will be available in more color options of blue, pink, red and black.

Google may be sued over the'Nexus One' name

The UK's Telegraph is reporting that the family of author Phillip K. Dick is set to sue Google over the Nexus One name. Isa Dick Hackett, Dick's daughter claims the name was lifted straight from her father's novel 'Do Android's dream of eclectic sheep'. This book published in 1968 and later became the basis for the movie Blade Runner features a series of robots known as Nexus 6 models.

“In my mind, there is a very obvious connection to my father’s novel,” Isa Dick Hackett, the late author’s daughter, has gone on the record as saying. Isa Dick Hackett, the author's daughter, has sent a letter to Google demanding that it change the name of its new phone.

"Google takes first and then deals with the fallout later," Hackett told the Mail. "In my mind, there is a very obvious connection to my father's novel. People don't get it. It's the principle of it."

Google on the other hand define 'Nexus' as a word meaning where things meet. And has it's root in the ancient Greek. Google said that they used this common word based on it's original meaning and not the creation of Dick.
