How to multitask on the on the iPhone 4, 3GS and iPod Touch using iOS4

Before we start it should be made clear that multitasking is available on on iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4. iPod Touch with the iOS4 can also use multitasking.

Multitasking using iOS4

1. Double tap on the home button when an App is open
2. Other Apps pop up for you to choose from at the bottom of the screen
3. You can shift through Apps easily by moving it to the right or left of your screen
4. Once you click on an App it wills seamlessly switch between Apps.

How does Multitasking work. Well, it's very simple you are playing your favorite game and you get a call. You do not leave the game to pick up this call. With multitasking you can now pause the game or rather that's what happens. When you multitask and switch between game and call. So you can pick up your call, speak with your friend and then go back to your game. You can then resume the game from where you left off.

Andrew Bocking, VP of Handheld Software Product Management says about the new phone " In the almost ten years I’ve worked at Research In Motion (RIM), I’ve never been as excited about a BlackBerry® software launch as I am for BlackBerry 6, which is on track for release this summer. I’m absolutely in love with the BlackBerry 6 experience and I expect other longtime users like me will feel the same. I also think the wide range of changes and added features in BlackBerry 6 will attract a lot of new users to the BlackBerry platform".

Apple to have an iPhone 4 press conference Friday

Apple has announced via their official spokesperson Steve Dowling that a press conference will be held at their headquarters in Cupertino, Calif. Amid mounting pressure from consumer forums and their stock dropping by 3 percent. Apple has decided to go head-on with this issue and address any public concerns. He did not mention who would be speaking at the conference. So Whether Steve Jobs will address the gathering is quiet unsure.

The problem as reported by many irate iPhone 4 uses is that is the phone is held in a certain way as to block the notch connecting two antennas on it's lower left side. The signal strength drops and renders the phone unusable.

Wheather this is entirely trus is not clear and many iPhone 4 users say they have never experienced a single dropped call.

Here's some humor on the whole fiasco by none other that David Letterman. Once he steps in then you know your problem is generating a lot of Buzz and needs to be address.

AT&T to launch Android based phones

AT&T used CES to announce a push into the Android and PalmOS Smartphone markets. Confirming that it would release 5 Google Based Android headsets and and two webOS handsets in 2010. Which would include Motorola, HTC and Dell's first ever smartphone - the mini 3. The company would also like to go ahead with an App's market and make a foray into App's that are convenient for everyone to use.

It brings about a speculation because the company also know it exclusive deal with the iPhone may well come to an end. Maybe they are preparing for that eventuality. It is just a speculation at this stage of course.

There is also good news from the company with respect to consumers who prefer just basic lower end models. Of yes there is a huge market for people who want a phone to simply make calls or send text messages. AT&T will be launching a new mobile development platform called BREW. Through an agreement with Qualcomm the company will launch BREW - a new mobile development platform. For quick messaging devices. The first BREW - Based quick messaging device will arrive from Samsung in the later half of 2010. With LG and Pantech signed up to deliver their devices in 2011.
