Twitter: how do you retweet with a comment

Many uses have asked if this is possible at all. Does Twitter allow you to Retweet with a comment. The Answer is no - this is something that cannot be done on Twitter as of now. What you can do is simply click the Retweet button and retweet a tweet. If however you would like to add a comment there is a simple manual workaround. Copy the whole Tweet, paste it in your tweet box and then add RT in front of it. You must be saying that this is so lame. But that is all that you can do. Once you do this you can retweet with your comment attached. You can also add the @username to ensure that the original tweeters Twitter ID is associated with the Tweet.

Third-party Twitter apps like Tweetdeck have this functionality and allow for Retweeting with comments attached. So for now if you want to Retweet from anywhere else you will have to do it manually.

Facebook: How to completely remove all your information

Facebook has a provision for those who have deleted their accounts on FB and no longer wish to receive any further communication from them. With this feature you can also ensure that Facebook does not store any of your information in their systems. The only thing that will be left once you do this is your mail ID, which Facebook requires in order to stop sending you information. This email ID will need to be stored with Facebook as this is what they need to identify you and ensure that no more correspondence is sent your way.

Before that if you are a Facebook user who would like to permanently delete your account you will need to go here to do so. If you do that you can further instruct the service to not store any of your information.

If you want to completely walk-away from Facebook and you do not even want your email ID stored to be used in their 'Do Not Mail' list. You will need to use the form available here to completely quiet the system.

Photo Stream for iOS 5: How does it work

Unlike other versions of iOS the new iOS 5 comes with the ability to completely disconnect your phone from your computer. Once you are on iOS 5 Photo Stream is a very simple feature. You take photo on any one device and it is available on all your devices. You can also import a photo from your camera to your computer.

This is how it works

Once you take a photo iCloud will automatically push it to all your devices and apps.

iCloud will use any available Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection

Will be pushed to all photo Apps on your devices

iPhoto or Aperture on your Mac

Pictures Library on your PC.

Photo Stream album on your Apple TV

All the photos you take are stored in a s special Photo Stream Album which holds your last 1000 photos and is stored for a period of 30 days

You cannot edit a photo in Photo Strea so you will need to save it to your Camera Roll to touch it up.

How to setup Photo Stream on your iOS device. (The Below guide is from a NYPost article and you can read more here

On a Mac: Go to the iCloud System Preferences pane and make sure Photo Stream is checked.

iPhoto: To enable Photo Stream in iPhoto, just go into the Preferences and make sure Photo Stream is checked.

Once you’ve done that, click on Photo Stream in the sidebar and you’ll see your photos.

Aperture: To enable Photo Stream in Aperture, just go into Preferences and make sure Photo Stream is checked. In this case, I’ve intentionally left Upload unchecked since I don’t want photos imported from my DSLR to go into the Photo Stream; just those I sync.

Once that’s done, click on Photo Stream in the sidebar to see your synced photos.

On a PC: First, download and install the iCloud Control Panel. Once you launch it — you guessed it — make sure Photo Stream is checked. You will also need to click on Options next to it to specify the Upload and Downloads directory.

According to the article deleting a photo is still difficult and Apple should be able to fix this in the near future.

How to burn a CD, DVD or BD remotely

This is the question is you have a netbook without a burner or maybe you run a large office with a lot of computers but not all of them with a CD or DVD burner. With Net Burner you can now remotely burn a CD/DVD/BD using this freeware. So all you need to have is one system with a burner connected over the network and you can use that one burner to create and write all your CDs and DVDs. This is especially helpful if you do not have a local burner device.

You do not need to be an experienced user to get this done. The freeware comes with helpful wizards to help you set things up and it is fairly simple to use even for those who are not so tech savvy.

With Paragon Net Burner you do not need to have a burner installed on every device. This is especially helpful for people who run internet cafes and large offices with a number of computers. Ensuring that every PC has a burner can be very costly. This cuts down the cost and enables one PC across the network to function as the burner device.  It is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003/2008/Vista and Windows 7.

Google+ have just announced another improvement and new feature within the service. The ability to collapse and expand comments. One of the reasons for4 this is really active conversations and comments can take over your stream and can be pretty overwhelming. Since comments appearing in real-time can make updates a little bit hard to read. The folks at Google+ have not fixed this so that it is not easy to expand and collapse comments in your stream.

Is a very simple and easy to do this just below each update there is a small bar with the number of comments.  Click it once to expand and click again to collapse. You can get a clearer view from the image below the space between the two black lines is where you need to click. The black lines have been added by us and doe not appear in Google+

Comments arriving in real-time are automatically collapsed along with the ability for the system to keep track of comments you've read and comments you haven't. This new feature has been implemented based on users feedback. Check the video out below to know more.

How to add the Twitter Tweet button to your blog or website

So here is how it works.

Twitter has launched the new Tweet Button. This can be easily placed on websites and blogs in three easy steps. Users who want to share content can now use the tweet button and this is how it works.

When you find content you link and you see the new Tweet button all you need to do is click the tweet button. If you have already logged in to Twitter. Twitter will add a link and  @mention an account the website specifies ahead of time. After that you can add your message and hit tweet. Another great feature of the tweet button is the ability to follow specific account after the tweet is sent. These accounts have already been chosen by the website you found the tweet button on. This is done by the website to suggest users to follow. After you close the overlay window you can continue viewing the exact same site you fond the tweet button on. You will see the number of times a link has been shared enabling you to see how popular the content it.

A nice thing Twitter has done is not to leave out third party link sharing services like TweetMeme. By far the most popular link sharing services that has been used by Twitter users till now. So the number you see beside the Tweet button will be an aggregation of links shared through other services as well.

How to add the Twitter Tweet Button on your website or blog

Tweet button in 3 easy steps Go to www.twitter.com/tweetbutton

1. Choose your button. There are 4 options Button, Tweet text, URL, Language

2. Recommend people to follow. This is optional. If you want your account to be @mentioned. Add you     Twitter account here.

3. Grab your code and embed.

Facebook: What’s the Difference between Top News and Most Recent

These days people on Facebook has friends in the 100s and 1000s. Now following all their updates is difficult, in addition you might also be a fan or a number of pages on Facebook. These pages also keep getting updated regularly. Facebook has therefore divided your News Feed into two sections called "Top news" and "Most Recent". As soon as you login to your homepage in Facebook you see these two options. Now, if you haven't logged into Facebook for a while the default view is top news.

Top News

Summary of top stories
Top news shows popular stories from your friends and pages you follow. Especially those stories that have gained a lot of attention. So if a friend of yours has posted a story that has gained a lot of attention by all the rest you see this story on the top. This is a way for you to know and find out what's been happening within your circle of friends and family. So if there is a new birth in the family you missed, you will surely see this right on top, because everyone is talking about it.

Pages that you have liked will also show up especially if their latest updates are gaining a lot of comments and likes.

Most Recent

Live feed of stories as they happen.
If you click on this view. Stories, statuses, and page updates are not sorted out and presented to you. This will be a list of updates as they happen. Chronologically from the first to the last. You can see up to 250 updates at a time. Refresh this view to see the latest as it happens. If you have a large number of connections and are a fan of a number of Facebook pages. You can adjust this view by going to the bottom of the page and clicking "Edit options".

You can juggle between both these views any number of times to see which one suits you the most.

How to use two Gmail accounts at once

Google account snow let's you sign in to multiple accounts. This is good news for people who have multiple Gmail accounts. You can now sign-in to two Gmail accounts at the same time in the same browser. You do not need to sign out of one to use the other. Both accounts can be accessed at once.

How to Access two Gmail accounts at once in the same browser

1. Visit google.com/accounts
2. Click edit beside multiple sign-in found right at the top

3. Click "On" and then click each of the check boxes below to confirm you understand what your doing and than click save.

4. Once you do this you can go back to your Inbox and at the top right hand corner you will find After you sign into your first account, you can sign in with up to two additional accounts from the new accounts menu in the upper right hand corner of Gmail, then easily toggle back and forth between them. You can even open multiple Gmail tabs — one for each of your accounts.

5. You can turn this feature off at any time. By going through the same procedure and click "Off - use one Google Account at a time".

Note from Google

Please keep in mind that this is a feature for advanced users, and there are a couple things to watch out for:

1) Not all Google services
support multiple account sign-in yet. For the services that don't support it (like Blogger and Picasa Web Albums), you'll be defaulted to the first account you signed in with during that browser session. So if you click a link from Gmail to Blogger, for example, you'll be logged into Blogger with the first account you signed in with, even if you clicked the link to Blogger from your second Gmail account.

2) We’re still working on making Gmail and Calendar work offline with multiple sign-in. If you rely on offline access, you probably don't want to enable this feature quite yet.

3) Multiple account sign-in only works on desktop browsers for now, so if you use Gmail on your phone's browser you won't see this option yet.

Since Google Apps customers can already sign in to their accounts at the same time as their personal Google Accounts, we won’t be adding this new feature to Google Apps until the
new infrastructure is in place.

If you use more than one Google Account, we hope this makes you more efficient. If you have any questions, check out our
help center.
