Survey says Facebook driving Divorce Rates Up

According to MyFoxFilly.com it's not just spouses that find infidelity evidence on Facebook and other social networking sites. Children and finding out about their parents and friends are spotting their friends who are cheating. A survey done of the top lawyers in the US have found that more and more partners are walking into their office saying "Facebook".

With sites like Facebook you can now search beyond your neighbors and co-workers to find that missing something in your marriage. A lot of people have gotten in touch with their high school sweethearts and has led to all the problems.

The report goes on to say that a mother of two has shown her lawyer love notes left on Skype by her husband for his old girlfriend he reconnected with on Facebook. This incident led to the divorce between husband and wife. The girlfriend also lost her marriage.

It's not always the betrayed spouse who stumbles upon the evidence. Children, neighbors and friends are now able to bust parents.

May 31 is Quit Facebook Day

pcmag reported that "Quit Facebook Day" only effected 2% of US users. It seems people are not ready to give up on the social network over the recent privacy issues. Users have obviously spent a lot of time, energy and creativity in creating their own social network on Facebook and are not really ready to give it up.

Facebook has also announced it's new privacy policy that aims to make thing simpler for users to understand and adjust. There are many privacy rights groups who are very vocal against Facebook's privacy policies but that does not necessarily effect the masses. People are just not ready to quit, Facebook on the other hand has already put their new policy in place and if you login to Facebook and click on privacy policy you see a whole new page with simplified layouts in place.

Creating an account and maintaining it on Facebook is also no joke. You need to interact with your people, share photos, videos and then the games. People love their games and applications and it keeps them busy. End of the day people share only what they want to share and this whole thing of  "Quit Facebook Day" did not really  get the success it wanted.

So did you quit?

Google Buzz Releases Teen Safety Video

Here are the highlights from the Google Buzz video on safety instructions to be followed. With it;s initial launch navigating the whole privacy thing of Google Buzz was a little difficult. Well Buzz seems to be leaving no stone unturned with their push to educate people on the best practices to be followed while using Buzz.

For Teens to follow.

1. Keep your private information private. While posting to the web publicly you need to be aware your info is visible to all your followers, Shows up on your Public Google Profile and may even appear in Google Search Results.

2. Know who's following you. Buzz sends a notifications when someone starts following you. If you do not know that person and would rather not have them following you. You can block them. Since a mail will not be sent to them that they have been blocked they will not really know.

3. Control your Google Profile. You don't need to share anything more than your first and last name on your profile. If you have a photo associated with your Gmail account you can choose to use this. You can also choose if you would like your list of followers to show up publicly on your profile.

4. Manage posts and comments. You can add or delete your posts as well as do the same with comments made on your posts. Or delete comments you may have left on other people's posts.

5. Know how to turn if off. If you no longer wish you use Buzz you can turn it off anytime you choose from your Gmail settings. You can also choose to hide Buzz in Gmail but still get Buzz on your phone
