How to create a collage in Instagram

Instagram the popular photo sharing app which was sold to Facebook for 1 billion has simply grown in popularity after the acquisition. Apart from being able to take photos and sharing it on the app, you can also create a collage of all your favorite pics and share them also. The only thing however you would need to use other apps tog to the job done. If you want to make a collage with the Instagram app itself there is a quick workaround which may not really fit the bill. You can arrange your favorite photos in the app and then take a screenshot, zoom in to cut out the borders and save it as your iPhone desktop. This hack will not really leave you happy, but for what it's worth.

Ok, so to create a collage you can do so with the following apps and we have selected some of the best ones for you. Both for you iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) and your Andriod devices.

How to create a collage in Instagram

1. GetLoupe: Is a Web app that lets you add all your favorite Instagram photos together to create a collage. Once your collage is ready you can share it on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. If you do not want to make it public you can protect your collage and keep it private. The app is also available for use on your iPhone and  iPad, Mac, Windows and Linux. Sorry no Android version of the app right now. To get started all you need to do is to click the 'Add Photos' link and then click on 'Instagram'. name your collage and start adding pics, clikc complete when your done and it's now ready to be shared with the world.

2. HoneyGram: This is available for all Android phones running Android 3.0 Gingerbread and higher. This app is basically an image browser for Instagram created for created for Honeycomb/GoogleTV/ICS platforms that lets you search for most popular photos etc. To get the app to go into collage mode you would need to tap the interactive button on the top of the app's screen. This will then start displaying thumbnails of all the images included within the selected album. You can now use various gestures to arrange your images. Here is a list of gestures supported.

Single touch: move an image around
Two Touches: rotate the image (hold down with one finger and move the other finger to rotate)
Three Touches: bring image to the top of the screen
Four Touches: Hide Image
Five Touches: Show all hidden images

3. You can also use PicFrame for iPhone or iPad. With Picframe you can make a collage using pictures from Facebook, Email, Instagram, Twitter, Flickr and Tumblr.

Please let us know what you think of these apps and let us know if there are any other apps for the same purpose,  in the comments section below.

Skype Humoticons: How to create your own [Facebook App]

Skype launched a campaign to bring back humanity into our world of social networking. Called 'It's time for Skype', meaning more face to face is better and brings real conversations back into the lives of people. Unlike staying in touch using 140 characters (think Twitter) and upgrade from a wall post to a first grade conversations. As part of this campaign Skype has launched something called humoticons, this is just like emoticons that everyone is used to with one little difference. You can use your own face and create a Humoticon with your own face and personality. This can be shared on a special page on Skype as well as a sharing option. There is a URL attached to every Humoticon you create so you can share it with freinds. Next time you or your pals are chatting they can use your Humoticon while chatting. Some people think this is quiet Bizarre but if you look at some of the Humoticons people are building they are quiet funny and entertaining.

The above pic illustrates classic emoticons like the wink, the smile, tongue out, blushing, devil, sky and heart etc. Now think of Humoticons as classic emoticons but with your own face bring out all the feelings and emotions of the emotion you want to portray. I can already see some people's Humoticons becoming viral on the internet. To get started you the link found at the end of this post and this is a Facebook app and if logged-in you can start immediately.

So will you create your own Humoticon and what do you think about this move from Skype - comments section below to sound off.

How to disable or remove Facebook Timeline and view profiles in the old Facebook style

Facebook Old profile style

There is new a hand y little app that helps you hide Facebook Timeline. The app is actually a chrome extension that you can add to your chrome browser and it works by hiding Timeline. You can then begin to view your profiles and other people's profiles with the old Facebook back and not in the new Facebook Timeline mode. When other people visit your profile however they will still be able to view your profile in the Timeline format. So, it does not really turn-off Facebook Timeline but simply hides it from you while you are browsing Facebook.

In reality your Facebook profile will still show in the new Timeline format but while you are working on Facebook Timeline everything you view will be in the old Facebook style and format. So if you find it annoying to keep looking at people's profiles in the new Facebook Timeline style this will bring you the old Facebook look, feel and style back. Something that most users had gotten used to and fell in love with. This extension will do a pretty good job at bringing it back for you. There is a also a toggle in the app to help you switch between old and new Facebook. So when your want to view profile with Timeline all you need to do is to toggle back and forth between old and new styles.

So keep in mind that this app only disables the display of the new Timeline and does not get rid of it. So in essence it allows you to work and use Facebook in the old style, when you view your friends profiles, they will appear in the old Facebook style with the Timeline. When you friends view your profile it will appear in the Timeline display.

Use Bounce to help you never be late again for a meeting or appointment

This little Android App will help you be on time. Whether it is for an official meeting or an appointment with your doctor. The app does a whole lot of calculations and then lets you know when it's time for you to leave and begin your journey so that you show up on time and stick to all your meeting deadlines. Important for people who just seem to find it so difficult to make it on time for a meeting. This is an Android App with an iPhone app in the works.

Bouce: How does it work
Once the app is installed on your phone it will integrate with all your appointments like Google Calendar, Microsoft Exchange etc. It will then run in the background and will use your GPS, Calendar and Traffic Data to calculate how long before you need to set out on your journey. The App takes a lot into consideration and calculates the time taken to travel factoring in the traffic situation and provides a reminder up to 60 minutes before you need to leave. There is also a configurable option to factor in things like finding parking or waiting for the kids etc. So if you find yourself as a person who seems to run a little late to meetings then this app might be a great way to remind yourself about where you need to be and get up and start heading out.
