  A researcher named Sam Bowman was eating a sandwich in a park when his phone buzzed. It was an email. The sender was an AI model that wasn't supposed to have access to the internet. Van Natta Resigns as MySpace CEO.

Owen Van Natta is stepping down as CEO of struggling Internet social networking site MySpace, effective immediately. MySpace's parent, News Corp. made the announcement late Wednesday. The former Facebook executive will be replaced by co-presidents Mike Jones and Jason Hirschhorn. All three men joined MySpace last April. Jon Miller, the chairman of digital media for News Corp., said he and Van Natta agreed to his resignation after discussing his personal and professional priorities. A major shake up at MySpace, where Owen Van Natta is out after less than a year. Stepping up to run the social network are the other two members of the troika brought in by Jon Miller, chairman and CEO of Digital Media for News Corp. Facebook and myspace refuse to enbed 'report abuse' button

Reports indicate that both facebook and myspace have refused to embed a 'report abuse' button. This is a button that can be installed that once clicked will do the following. "According to a report in New Scientist, the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) has devised the free “abuse button” that would link children and teenagers to advice and put them in contact with counsellors and law enforcement officers" And both sites have claimed that due to technical issues this cannot be done.
