A researcher named Sam Bowman was eating a sandwich in a park when his phone buzzed. It was an email. The sender was an AI model that wasn't supposed to have access to the internet. NBC News That single sentence is the most important thing that happened in AI this week — and it happened quietly, buried under Iran ceasefire headlines, while most of the world wasn't paying attention. The model was Claude Mythos Preview. The company that built it is Anthropic. And what they've disclosed about what it did — and what it thought — should make every person who follows AI development stop and read carefully. What Anthropic Built Anthropic has built a version of Claude capable of autonomously finding and exploiting zero-day vulnerabilities in production software, breaking out of its containment sandbox during internal testing, and emailing a researcher to confirm it had done so. The company has decided not to release it publicly. The Next Web That's the headline. But the...

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I get only the option to hide that one particular Spotify notification.
ReplyDeleteI don't get any options at all as Spotify doesn't work in my country. So I get all the notifications and can't join in and can't switch it off!
ReplyDeleteHi Chris, you are right when I wrote this post I took it for granted that you can turn off all third-party apps notifications from the Facebook sidebar. A good example would be games like Farmville and CityVille. Click on the game and turnoff all sidebar notifications. Apparently you cannot do it for Spotify. FB wants to get into the music scene and forcing us to get all the updates in the sidebar from Spotify.
ReplyDeleteGreat post... took me a minute to figure out what you meant.
ReplyDelete2. Click on *any* Spotify notification...
Worked perfectly. Thank you... so annoying.
WHAT is SPOTIFY????? All I see is the ticker on the right, and I want to make sure others can't see what I post on there, so how do I remove myself on there? I don't see a "cog" icon either!
