You know how when you log in to chat on Facebook you are visible to all your FB friends. But what if you want to chat with only a few friends. This way you can keep chatting with the pals you want and appear offline to the ones you don't want to be visible to. This option can also give you some privacy on Facebook and allows for you to chat with maybe one or two friends only and not appear online to your other connections. So when you want to chat only with some of your pals you will not get disturbed by other people. Maybe you want to get online and chat with family, this is the option you would need to use. It is easy to do this in just a few steps and here is how to do it.

How to appear visible to only a few selected friends on Facebook.
1. Log in to Facebook
2. Click on the cog icon available either on the top or bottom of your chat window


3. Now click on advanced settings
4. Click the button in front of turn on chat for only some friends
5. Enter their names and click save. (You can enter names or entire lists)
6. You're done.
