How to delete or remove Apps from BlackBerry PlayBook

After downloading Apps on your new BlackBerry PlayBook it is now time to keep what you want and delete the rest. So how to remove or uninstall Apps on the BlackBerry PlayBook.


There are basically two methods to get this done.


Method 1


1. Launch BlackBerry App world and and on the top of your screen tap My World.
2. A list of all your applications will appear, tap on the delete button next to the applications you want to remove.
3. When prompted with tap Ok to complete the deletion.


To reinstall a deleted application all you need to do is to tap on the installed section of the same screen on the upper right and then tapping the reinstall button next to the desired application


Method 2


1. On the all tab drawer tap on the App
2. Press and hold or long press on the icon to enter edit mode
3. Tap the trash can icon below the icon of the application you want to delete


This method will allow deletion of all Apps including system defaults. If you delete system default applications they can be restored only with a system software update.

How to find Wi-Fi hotspots

If you find yourself traveling or moving to a new city and would like to know all the wi-fi hotspots nearest to you. Help is near at hand you can use both Bing and Google to give you all the locally listed hotspots in your area.

You can use Google by going to www.google.com and search using places. So if you query is "wireless hotspots near Manhattan, New York" you will get a list of places which have been registered as local wi-fi hotspots. As seen in the image on your left you get a list of wi-fi hots spots with New York along with a map and there is also the address so finding the places becomes easy. While earching all you need to do is to Google and after entering your query click on places found on the left hand sidebar and get your answers.

If you would like to use Bing to find you local wi-fi hotspot, you can go to www.bing.com/local and enter you search query which should have the keywords wi-fi or wireless hotspots followed by the name of the places you want to search. You can use your local area name wherever you are in this world and will be able to find the local hotspot registered in your area.

Please note that all places usually listed are businesses and mostly not free wi-fi.

Facebook Banners

With the option to add 5 photos to your Profile page on Facebook, a whole lot of creativity has erupted. With websites allowing you to add a profile banner in that space. From 'I love u' to ' F U' banners whatever may be your mood for the day add a banner and convey your thoughts. These banners can be seen by visitors to your FB profile page. Reminds one of Graffatti to say something. There are many other ways to use that creative space given to you but this is one of them. You can creatively add photos and create a collage but for those less inclined to experiment and just want to add a banners that comes ready-made then this is an option.

There are many more sites offering free banners and in exchange there is usually a small link attached telling your friends where to find a banner for themselves. There banners are not small business and come in various categories.


How to add a Facebook banner


1. Use one of the sites mentioned above or just use Google and find a free banners site
2. Click on a banner you want to add
3. You must be logged into Facebook to allow the App access to your page
4. Click 'Ok' and your done




How to remove Facebook banners from your profile

1. On the banner link found on your wall you can choose the three options as found above.
2. You might need to actually click on the 'x' beside each of the five photos found on your profile page to remove it.
3. Also if you want to remove the App completely you would need to go to your settings page and revoke publishing right completely.

The iPad 2 also weighs less from 1.5 pounds to 1.3. Comes in two colors black and white. The most amazing thing is it still has the same 10 hour battery life as the original iPad.

What is Google +1

Google's +1 is their social savvy entrance into social search recommendations. Similar to the Facebook 'Like' button. +1 will will ensure your stamp remains on sites you like across the web. So the next time you find a website you like and would like to recommend to your friends go ahead and use the +1 button next to it. You friends get to see your approval of the site and will therefore tend to use it. most of us trust our friends and families recommendations. This is what the whole thing works on. In return you also get to see recommendations from your friends and will find information faster since your friends and contacts liked it there is every chance you might too.


Now you can +1 not only content you find on Google but also the Ads you see. If there is an Ad you like you can +1 it and share it with friends. Search has not gotten a whole more social. To use Google +1 you would need a Google public profile and agree that sites with your stamp of approval are found on the internet. 


In fact this will be pushed down to website owners and blogs etc. So if you have content on the web there will be a +1 button coming to allow your uses to +1 content that they like. Google's +1 button is definitely bring search more closer to users hearts.

How to use Facebook as a page

Facebook now has the option that let's you convert your profile into a page. Well, it might be a good move for business users, others need to be aware of what really happens once you convert your profile into a page. Profiles have the 5,000 friends count limit whereas a page has no such restrictions. 


What happens when you switch your profile into a Facebook page.


1. All you friends are not automatically switched over. You would need to re-invite them. If there are really want to click the 'Like' button on your page. They are then not considered as friends but more as fans on your page. You therefore cannot interact with them as you normally would when you use your profile.


2. The only people who show on your page are the ones who have clicked the like button but then again they might not really be fans.


3. You photos and videos are not automatically switched over but you will need to add them again to your page.


4. People who might click the like button on your page are not considered friends but fans and therefore you will not be able to send messages to them. Since your profile has been switched into a page and pages are owned and created more for business and generally celebrities would need them.


5. Pages are meant for people who have large numbers of fans and cannot spend time interacting. They can keep people updated on whats happening in their lives by posting to their page and their fans can follow them. 


6. Your wall and News Feed  now merge into one once you switch from profile to page. You therefore use the flexibility. You cannot now click on your friends page and post on this wall because now you only have friends.


These are some of the things you would need to consider before switching over. Facebook pages are really good for business owners, companies, marketing, famous people and that kind of thing.


How to switch from Facebook profile to Facebook page.


1. You would first need to create a page
2. Once your page has been created click on account
3. Select "Use Facebook as a page"


Can you switch back over to profile after you have switched over to page, yes you can and it's simple.

2. Select switch back to "You Name"

For those of you who have a page you can experiment a bit with it, there is nothing to loose because you always switch back over. So small business owners can now use switch their profile to page and it becomes easy to maintain only one single account to manage all their fans.

FrontierVille Canning Master Missions

Butter is part of the Cow Collection and food is obtained by harvesting crops. We should all have huge amounts of food already and it appears that Zynga is trying to lower down that number as it did with the wood in the recent series of missions that they’ve launched. Hopefully nobody will be too pissed off because of this requirement!

Canning Master Mission II: Hot and Saucy

- Craft 15 Fire
- Have 15,000 food

Again, the food exodus is continuing. Since this is an impressive number, I do believe that Zynga will tune down the requirement for when the mission is launched. Fortunately, we’ll receive a Book of Experience as a reward for completing this mission, so it’ll be worth the trouble!

Canning Master Mission III: Chicken Soup for the Pioneer Soul
- Tend 300 Chickens
- Collect 30 Canning Jars
- Have 50,000 food! (Yes, this will be consumed too!)

Canning Jars can be obtained from neighbors and the food requirement should be definitely tuned down!

Canning Master Mission IV: Winning the Blue Ribbon
- Harvest 500 Peppermint
- Collect 100 Cloth
- Have 100,000 food

After completing this last mission in the game, you will receive a reward of 7 HS, 5 Unwither crops and 10 Fast Hands Boosts. 

To harvest 500 Peppermint would cost 100 thousand coins (if you did it all at once),

FarmVille Wishing Well

FarmVille now has the wishing well a whole new item that you can toss a penny and produce special collections and redeem special rewards.

How does the wishing well work in FarmVille

The next time you play FarmVille after an update you'll get the wishing well for free. Using the placement mode you can place the well on your farm now or choose to place it later by putting it in your gift-box.  To do this quickly switch to the multi-tool. Once you place the wishing well just click on it and choose look inside. The wishing well window will pop up. You throw a lucky penny into the wishing well and something will pop back up depending on which collection your working on. You start of with the St Patrick's day collection which is level one and there are six different items you will need to collect to complete the collection and move on to the next level. Your not going to know which item will come out however because it is totally random. 


everyone get 1 lucky penny to start of with. If you don't have any lucky pennies you can see two other buttons "Ask for pennies" and "Buy Pennies". You can ask you neighbors for luck pennies by clicking on ask for more or you can give free lucky pennies via the free gifts page. If you need to buy lucky pennies it will cost you five farmcash to buy 5 lucky pennies. There is also the possibility of getting lucky penny bonuses when you throw which can also be shared. Check boxes will appear next to the items that you collect. These items work a lot like ordinary collections as these are not actual in-game items. You can get multiple numbers of the same items but you only get experience points for each luck penny tossed.


Once you get all 6 items in a collection the throw lucky penny button will grey out and a claim reward button will appear on the lower right underneath the collection prize. Click that button to collect that prize and it'll go into your gift-box allowing you to move on to the next level. There are 4 collection levels all together. Note you might also get a random bonus during a lucky penny toss, which will show up in the bonus box on the right usually consisting of a few extra lucky pennies. Bonuses are applied as soon as you get it. This is part of the England Collections.
