Official known as the Chromezone, Google has opened a retail store in London. It is a small store and essentially a shop within a shop. The store measuring 285Sq-ft was opened within a PC world Store in Tottenham Court Road. The store will run for three months until Christmas before the company comes out with more details directions on where they want to go with their retail business. Google said that according to research within the company it realizes that 80% of computers are sold in stores. This low-key launch signifies the importance of retail stores and the effect it has on business.  The Chromezone store sells mainly Google Chromebook computers along with other related accessories. Bar Codes have been around for decades and is increasingly finding more and more uses with mobile.  Wikipedia  have introduced a new feature called QRpedia what this does essentially is allows you to fill in any Wikipedia article URL, into a box generate a QR Code and then share it with people on the mobile phones. Users can then use their mobile phones to pick up the code and read it in their phones selected language.  An amazing use for this is in a museum. He discovered that the cookies that are placed with your computers browser was supposed to stop tracking user activities once they click on the logout button. So every users on fb has one or two people who might go into that list. Essentially it ensure mostly that those posts of yours that should not be seen by those people are not seen.   This is what happens when you add someone to the restricted list on Facebook 1. Google turns 13 and they have a Google Doodle to help celebrate and announce their turning 13. The doodle itself is very quiet and nondescript. Facebook have added the new feature to news feeds and you are now familiar that the news feed is divided into two parts, Top Stories and Recent Stories. You might be wondering what the difference is and if there is any difference at all. Well the stories that you see in the top stories, which happens to be the first and top most part of your news feed, are all the stories and updates that Facebook has marked as important. Basically these are posts and updates that have received quiet a lot of traction and will usually be accompanied by a lot of likes and comments. Recent stories are that ones that are being shown as they happen and yes, they are in chronological order. There are top stories among these too. Basically top stories are marked by the light blue share on the left-hand top corner of each post. Google+ has now ended its field trial and opened its doors to everyone. The fledgling social network has come out of testing and now anyone can join. It might also be mentioned that it is high time. This whole thing of invite only is loosing its shine and the reason is that when people are not able to get in with an invite they don't even come later. Close on the heels of all the new features being rolled out this week by Facebook comes this open invitation to all. Facebook has been loosing no time in rolling out new features including improved lists, an improved news feed and a ticker. This takes the competition to the next level. Twitter has grown and with the recent announcement of having over a 100 million active users it is no surprise that Twitter continues to add more and more languages. Of the languages added you can see that it is aimed at the Indian, Chinese, Malaysian and Philippians segment of users. There are more and more people coming to Twitter it has been happening slowly and compared to the growth of Facebook this  seems trivial.
