For whatever reasons you might have blocked someone on Facebook and you now want to unblock that friend. There are many reasons why friends block each other on FB. There first could b,e you find that person a source of irritation or maybe your ex and therefore you want to block and hide your stuff from that person. The reasons are numerous but there is a simple method to unblock a person or friend on Facebook.


How to unblock a person on Facebook.


1. Login to Facebook
2. Click on Account
3. Click on Privacy Settings
4. Under block lists found at the bottom of the page click on "edit Block Lists"
5. Under Block Users you find a list of people or person you blocked.
6. Click on unblock on the right hand side of the person's name. 
7. Your done.

How to Skype your Facebook friends

There is nothing better that chatting with all your Facebook friends using Skype. To do this is very simple and all you need to do is to download the new Skype version 5.0 for Windows and sign in with your Facebook account. Once signed-in you can then  you can easily call or SMS your friends. You also can check out your News Feed, update your status, and like and comment on posts directly within Skype.

Google Boost

What is Google Boost and how does it work.


Google Boost is the latest product offering from Google to help local businesses. It works as a location-based  ad listing for local businesses. Boost has been built on Google Places and is currently available in San Francisco, Chicago and Houston right now. Will roll out to more cites in the future.


Business owners can create Boost Ads using their Google Places account. Once an ad has been created it will appear on Google and Google Maps on the right hand side along the "Sponsored Links" column. So if someone searches for a Restaurant in San Francisco and you are a business owner with a restaurant over there then ad ad will show up with your restaurant and matching cuisines. Along with all the basics like your company name and address.


When a map appears alongside the results, a blue pin will help folks quickly find your location on the map. Businesses using Google Tags will also see their yellow tag appear in the ad.

The new Apple MacBook Air

Apple has launched the new MacBook Air a cross between an iPad and a MacBook. 1.7 cm at it's thickest point, available in 11 and 13 inch models. Both models have Duo2core  intel processors and Nvidia Geforce screen cards. Apple has also reveled the next version of the Mac the Lion OSX which supports multi-touch but only with a mouse. Apple does not plan to manufacture touch screen computers. The Mac will also get it's own applications store inspired by the success of the iPad and iPhone's iTunes store. Thus paid and free applications will be available at a single click. lion OSX will be launched in the summer of 2011.


The new MacBook Air also has FaceTime software that was released on the iPhone 4. This application available in beta allows people to video chat via computer to computer or computer to iPhone. 


Battery backup is also phenomenal with the 11 inch model getting  5 hours of power and the 13 inch model getting 7 hours of power. The MacBook Air is also built around all-flash storage for better responsiveness and reliability. The trackpad comes with full multi-touch support.

The video was made by Joey Mazzariono, head writer at Sesame Street for his adopted daughter Segi from Ethiopia. He noticed that his daughter started having problems while playing with Barbie Dolls and the reason was that she wanted long straight and blond hair that she could bounce around.

This video has struck a chord with African-American women and the video has already crossed 402,141 views and counting.

The TV writer isn't the first to tackle the taboo topic. Comedian Chris Rock made a documentary titled Good Hair in 2009 after his five-year-old daughter asked him, "'Daddy, how come I don't have good hair?" The film is about the $9 billion black hair business.

How to become a mayor in Foursquare

Becoming a mayor in Foursquare is the simplest thing. You need to have visited a certain place the most number of times. In Foursquare terms this is known as a check-in. Therefore there is a simple formula to be applied, mayorships are based on the most days with check-ins in the past 60 days. So if you check-in more than once on the same day it is still calculated as 1x. Therefore to become mayor you will need to have the most number of check-ins. So if there is someone who has checked in more days that you, they get the title of mayor.


There is however a lot of freebies to help you on your way as many bars and cafes are now offering "Mayor Specials" like free coffees, discounts and other goodies. It therefore pays to be a mayor as you get a lot of free stuff. This of course is not guaranteed but there are goodies available in popular places.

How to delete friends on Facebook

This is going to be a simple post on how to delete friends on Facebook. Many users when they first start using Facebook, go on a friend adding and accepting spree. Many find out later that there are some friends they would actually like to delete from their friends list. There are many reasons why users might want to delete a friend from their list and it happens all the time. All regular Facebook users would have experienced both sides of this coin one time or the other.


How to delete a friend on Facebook.


1. Login to Facebook
2. Click on the name of the friend, user, person you wish to delete
3. You are taken to their profile
4. Scroll all the way down
5. Right down at the bottom on the left hand side column you will find the option "Remove from friends". 
6. Click this and you will be asked to confirm if you really want to remove this person as friend. Click "remove from friends if you are sure or click cancel if you change your mind.
7. Your done.


If you have a number of friends you would like to remove. It would need to be done physically one by one. There is no mass deletion available on Facebook. After all it's a social network and meant for friends to interact and share information.

What is Apple iTunes Ping and how does it work

Ping is Apple's effort of going social with a music-based social network. Ping the iTunes related social network was built to allow users to follow artists and friends and see what they were listening to. The service still does not have a tie-up with Facebook as yet. There however has been a lot of news lately that Apple and Facebook where in talks to get that done. Ping was launched without the Facebook integration and was not received well by critics and users alike. There has been a meeting however between Steve Jobs and Zuckerberg at Steve Jobs home and things might soon start turning in the right direction. iTunes ping will be hopeless without proper Facebook integration.

Artists have also had to struggle with creating a profile on ping. Some work needs to be done before Apple can make a foray into the world of Social Networking. ping however shows a lot of promise with allowing people to connect with friends and artists and see what they are listening to. This way users can find and share new music and and up and coming artists will have a new platform to share the music.

Ping also allows users to both post the music they're actually listening to and "like" other music that friends,colleagues, or random internet strangers are listening to. It's a simple tweak that's made easily accessible via a sidebar that pops up within iTunes whenever one starts rocking out to a song.

Ping aims to become the social network for music, however Ping is completely useless for songs that don't appear in iTunes' main repository of music

Mafia Wars Natural Disaster Crates

The Zynga team have added yet another set of Crates to Mafia Wars with Natural Disaster Crates. For 12 Reward Points each or 35 Reward Points for three (around $3 and $7, respectively), you'll have a chance at one of eight disaster-themed weapons, vehicle and armor. Like the usual loot crates, each Natural Disaster Crate will have a 60 percent chance of containing a common item, a 30 percent chance for uncommon items and just a 10 percent chance of holding a rare item. 

You can also check what's inside the crates by clicking on the question mark beside the crates.

#newtwitter is now trending on Twitter and that's because the new design has started rolling out to all users. New Twitter is a whole new look and feel and a re-engineered search engine. Handling over 1 billion queries a day parts of the Twitter search engine has been re-engineered to handle the load. The new search engine they say will be able to take the load for years to come.

New Twitter has a few differences from the old layout and you see your Tweets timeline on the left and on the right there has been a whole lot of space cleared up which shows you current trends. Clicking on a Twitter will bring up a pane which slides to the right and shows you the latest post and profile of the user. If the tweet contains a pic or a video that will open up on the pane on the right. There will be the standard user timeline but underneath each Tweet is additional information and even embedded media (videos/photos). If you click on an individual Tweet, a details pane will slide to the right to reveal this extra content.

New Facebook game Assasin’s Creed: Project Legacy

Ubisoft has launched a beta version of Assassin's Creed Project Legacy, a social role playing game, for Facebook. For the first time, Ubisoft has integrated a social game into a console title.

Assassin's Creed is a historical fantasy/science fiction third person action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It was released worldwide in November 2007 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and April 2008 for PCs. The game centers on the use of a machine named the "Animus", which allows the viewing of the protagonist's genetic memories of his ancestors. 

Assassin's Creed's "project Legacy" will be a social role-playing game where by completing and unlocking certain missions, you are then able to unlock more missions in "Brotherhood". Also, depending on the tasks you complete in "Brotherhood", you are then able to unlock more missions in "Legacy". Using the power of social gaming on Facebook users can now move between web to game and game to web unlocking powerful secrets. 

Players of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood will be able to unlock up to 25 exclusive missions, itmes and quests  in Assassin's Creed Project Including quest rewards so you can unlock more quests. As you level up, you get more complex items like more men for your army or horses. The new movie has now been released and has pulled in 9 million on it's first day. Considering that the movie is about the world's largest social network and it's founder, there has been a lot of interest and speculation. It was only expected that the movie would generate a lot of buzz and interest and has started to do well at the box office. even though there are no karate kicks and hot action but a movie about nerds trying to sue each other for big money with a lot of betrayal and a whole lot of dialogs and typing. The social network is getting a lot eye balls and footfalls.
