Google ditches Windows citing security concerns

It started after Google's Chinese operation were hacked and from early January Google has been working to phase out Windows operating systems internally. It has been reported that Google is moving all of it's 20,000 employees worldwide either onto  Apple Mac OS, Linux or it's own Chrome operating system.

Google believes that the vulnerability of Windows was the reason why the Chinese hack was possible in the first place.

The move however is a nice boost for Linux but is unlikely to cause any worry to Microsoft too much. 9 out of every 10 computers in the world run on the Windows Operating System.

According to the Financial Times if an employee would like to get a Windows machine he would need to get CIO (Chief Information Office) approval first.
