How to reset the iPad

There are a few steps if you like to reset your iPad if it is slow and lagging. This is also good if you want to reset everything back to it's normal factory settings. In case you want to sell your iPad. 


Resetting the iPad actually improves it's performance and ups it's speed.

To Reset All Settings: Reset's all preferences and settings. Actual data like calendars, media, and contacts are not deleted. Choose General > Reset, then tap Reset All Settings.

To Erase All Content and Settings: Resets all settings to their original values and erases all your information and media. Choose General > Reset, then tap “Erase All Content and Settings.

To reset the Home Screen Layout to it's default setting, choose General > Reset, then tap Reset Home Screen Layout.



How to switch the iPad off in case it gets stuck and freezes. Doing this the iPad will automatically reset itself

1. Hold the iPad in portrait mode

2. The power button should be on the top right corner

3. Hold the button down for about 2 seconds

4. Rectangular box should pop up with a right pointing arrow.

5. Once you see the slider simply slide your finger along to power off.

6. Wait for about 15 seconds before you decide to power on and switch on.



To turn it on simple hold the sleep/wake button until the Apple logo appears
