How to clean a flat screen TV

After spending a good sum of money on your Flat Screen TV. You would like to keep it clean of smudges, fingerprints and grime. There is a proper way to do it and a moist cloth should do the trick. You would also need to be careful about common cleaning products as they can do more good than harm.

Here is a step by step guide on how to clean your flat screen TV

1. Disconnect your TV from the power socket before you start cleaning. This will ensure that you can also see the smudges a lot better.

2. Choose either lukewarm water of a cleaning solution. Commercial cleaning kits are available that contain both a cloth and the solution. make sure you see the safe for "Laptop Screens" and "LCD Screens" on the label. They should specifically mention that is safe for "Laptop Screens" and "LCD Screens".

3. Dampen a soft cloth ( chamois preferably, micro fiber or 100 percent cotton). With either the lukewarm water or the cleaning solution and gently rub. Do not scrub or apply hard pressure to avoid damage to the screen.

It is good to dust your screen lightly regularly since dust accumulation on the screen can cause damage.
