More Teens and Young Adults get their Twitter and Facebook hacked a bit of harmless fun

If you have read this title and come here then maybe you have had one such experience. It's all about pranks and playing with friends. Sometime when a young person is using Facebook on their laptop and leave the room without logging out a roommate or a friend would play around with their page and have some fun. You have either done this or tried to do it maybe. There is also the case of people spying on each other and this is very popular among people in relationships. You want to know what the other persons doing or who he or she is hanging out with on Social Media. There are also serious issues where some teens take over Twitter accounts and post scandalous messages and Facebook accounts that get taken over and humorous messages get posted. Most of the teens surveyed said it was a bit of harmless fun and they knew who the person was. It is usually a prankster who wants to have friends with his or her friends accounts.

Sometime however all this harmless fun can get serious and therefore you need to take measures to protest yourself.

How to be safe on Twitter, Facebook and Google+

There is only one foolproof method. You need to keep changing your password. As soon as you notice that your Facebook or Twitter account has been taken over you would need to change your password and use a strong one. Now your pet's name. Sometimes the password hint question is what is your pet's name and your friends know the answer. So you should not use passwords that your friends can figure out like where you live, your partner's name and well, you get the picture. Sometimes when friends take over your account they can post some seriously embarrassing stuff. So you need to ensure that your friends and people who know you will not be able to figure your password out.
